Founding and History

The Anglican Chorale of Southern California was formed in March 1999 by a
group of friends who thought that music from the Anglican tradition should
be promoted. In addition, there was an interest in singing more
difficult and extended anthems than those offered in some smaller church
choirs. A choir of 27 was formed and an exciting debut performance was
given in June 1999 to a very enthusiastic audience in Pasadena, California.
We have a 501(c)(3) non-profit certificate and are in our
ninth
season of presenting Evensong Services throughout the Los Angeles diocese and
sacred, choral concerts
throughout the greater Los Angeles area around Thanksgiving and Easter. Our
subscriber base and sponsors continue to grow and our numbers have grown to 36. |
